2011

I can't stick to 10 images to sum up 2011...call it lack of discipline, but personally it's because it's so hard to give credit and acknowledgement to one thing and leave out another.

Here's a roundup of 2011.

BEST OF 2011

First run of last year was with babe! At West Coast Park...it was her first in a long time of not running...3km previously, look at her now! =)

Having to handle Jackson's "SO Contemporary" exhibition was a blast, it was tough but the outcome was pretty good! =)

Dinner at Mad about Garlic, it was the only time I could recall meeting up with Rebel 3 this year...gosh has it been that long??? ack!

Ceriph book launches...I'm not one to read, but since it involved Hans and Winnie, it was worth supporting!

My First off road trip for 2011 with Colin and Andy at BT...fun times!

Apart from the MacBook Pro, this was the other hype machine I got for 2011...and to think Dad wanted to sell it...no way!

My first Art in Transit Tour!

BIRD OUT! It was kinda memorable also cause we had to upload the pictures NOT on facebook so as to avoid a Uncle Tony from finding out about Hannee back then. lol

MacRicthin'! I think this was our first trail run! It was also the first time Colin introduced us to some hype BCM at Kebun Bahru Market.

We seldom have reunion dinners with just the family and no one else...we normally have it with relatives...so for last year when we had it at home with babe joining us, it was pretty special =)

Moving into the new Art Outreach office!!!

If it weren't for Alron, we wouldn't have had a Tier 0 Lo Hei last year. Thanks =)

As usual, reunion dinner with the relatives is always a happy occasion. =)

Reunion at Alron's was another fantastic experience, great achar too!

Getting super cheap glasses thanks to Colin...I remember having to ask his friend to repeat the price so that I did not hear it incorrectly.

My Birthday celebration with the guys...definitely a memorable experience, and as usual Sharon bought balloons. lol. Entry #1, Entry #2.

Colin's first Aquathlon was the best excuse for us to bring our cameras out to do some photographing! Al's idea has since taken this hobby of ours to a whole new level. =)

AP 2011 was one hellava blast! Unfortunately we won't be seeing AP 2012.

Ying Hao's big day at Orchard Parade Hotel was a blast, glad to see old friends from the army hanging out that evening..can't believe it's been almost half a year ago!

Dining at Black Angus was another fantastic experience, especially since I used to work there, and having to bump into Sammy and some of the other servers was good since we got to play catch up and I got to check out the new back of the house. =)

Ok so bidding farewell to Katie isn't the best, she'll be missed, but it was great having to finally have some sort of dinner with her before she left!

My first trip to Ubin...too bad it rained, but it was still quite an interesting experience!

Our third anniversary...the dinner was so so, but hey, 3 good years, how to complain right? =)

Dinner with Serenity and Diego at Casa Latina, gosh the food was good and so was the company, they'll be missed!!!

Global City; Home...an exhibition that was dear to me, especially since it was my cousin's...so it was small, but hey I think it was nicely done. =)

Joining two running groups was the best thing I did since running...it made the work out less of a pain now that you get to know more people and it becomes more of a weekly activity among friends rather than a boring chore.

Heading to USS for a day of photo taking and roller coasting...fun!

WORST OF 2011

The CBTL Frother! It costs $50 less than the Nespresso frother, but since purchase, I've had to replace it at least 3 times now, and they finally gave up and replaced it with a new model altogether in December...guess what? That Nespresso Frother now costs $149!...Really CBTL (CB Tu Lan).

The Intervention Incident...yep.

Our big fight...at least it was a long time ago.

K so it wasn't my experience...but hey, Steve's passing is a big deal no? Without Steve, there wouldn't be the laptop I'm using today...there wouldn't be the iPhone, and without the iPhone, there wouldn't be the evolution of Android which I use...so there...here's to the crazy one.

Glad that there aren't many bad stuff to mention, means generally (as usual), 2011 was another fantastic year.

OTHER REFLECTIONS

Possessions

Looking at the "Gots" label, I noticed I haven't bought a lot of stuff for myself this year...I generally tend to go for the "buy only when it's broken" approach...I think the two biggest buys this year were the 30mm Sigma and 2011 MacBook Pro...both of which I do not regret one bit!

Finances

Savings have been fantastic this year, I saved more than I had expected...at least 50% more!!! Even if I rewarded myself with stuff to buy...I dunno what to get!

Health

I've never been better. =)

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed 2011, it's been one hell of a ride, and it's amazing how fast it's come and gone.

Before you know it, December 20, 2012 will come and it'll all be over in a jiffy. =P
