So instead of writing about each day, I'll just jumble it up and type in random notes along the way.

Needless to say, breakfast in HK is one of my all time favorites. But of course, I realise it depends on which time of the year you go that makes the food taste extra good.
A cold morning in November or March is perfect, but a blazing hot morning in June isn't gonna make food taste much better. Still, the items here are solid, delicious, and refreshing from the usual stuff back home, I wouldn't say you can't get it in Singapore, but it's just not readily available, like how kaya toast and soft boiled eggs are not readily available in HK.

We went to Citygate, there were a lot of factory outlets, even a Bape store. I bought clothes from Puma....that's pretty much it. lol

Moving along, I realised I should have just wrote about the food in HK in this entry rather than try to split it into little segments cause I'm back at food again.
Seafood here is cheap, really cheap! Street side Vegetables, Prawns, Scallops, and Bamboo Clams for 4 people was about SGD$50 which is really worth it considering most of the items were fresh.
The Beef Noodles in HK are good, the soup is fantastic although if I had to pick, I'd put KL Beef Noodles on top of the list, followed by Tak Fat, then the ones back home.
I now know that the noodles that I constantly refer to as "point point" noodles is actually called "Che Zai Mee. Why point point? Cause I normally just point at the different items on the menu for the auntie to see as she takes my order.
One thing I do notice which I think upset babe a little was that her parents were constantly comparing the food in HK to that back home, commenting on how salty the food is in HK, and how SG has better food. Xinn's dad seems to be constantly looking for food that were closer to Singapore rather than to try the HK items. Xinn's mum also at times opted for more Singaporean dishes, like the Hokkien Mee she ordered at Food Republic while at Citygate. Rather than scrambled eggs and tea, they'd look for Soft Boiled Eggs and Coffee. Babe kinda tried to convince them to see that the food in SG these days have been watered down cause of health reasons, but I guess her parents have gotten used to SG's local flavor and were more pro-SG food.
Apart from that, at least Babe and I enjoyed the food there. The salted egg was actually salty, and the century egg was just a slap in your mouth! You don't get taste this strong in Singapore anymore. +1 to Hong Kong.
The roasted pork this time round wasn't as good as her first time in HK, but I guess some times you're lucky and some times you're not when it comes to picking the right stalls.
I think the only three things I'd wished we had done in HK was 1. Walk about more, 2. Eat Dim Sum, and 3. Couple photo with babe.
Apart from that, being a holiday meant more for her parents, I'm glad that we managed to bring them around, and despite the challenged we both faced, I think we all have a good time =)
