Kite Out!

After our extremely successful attempt to fly kite the last time round, we decided to skip the building part, bought a kite, and Colin took Zeline out to go for a second round of kite flying at the Marina Barrage.
Things were not looking that good as usual, we were having a hard time getting the damn thing to fly despite it being a purchased item. However, handing it to Hans, the king of string, it didn't take long before the kite was up in the air.
While we did take turns to accompany Zeline, babe was like the big sister that day, looking over her and helping her out with her kite flying. It was quite fun to watch as she guided Zeline to reel the string in and out for the kite to go higher or lower.
I think Zeline got comfortable enough with her, though she didn't really talk to us, she did speak a few words to babe, at least its good to know she's slowly opening up.
The best part came when we wanted Zel to fly solo for a few snaps. So after she was handed string, we took a few shots and chatted away, and before we realised it, Zel had been holding on to the kite and letting it fly for a good few minutes already!
I think what was even funnier was when we told her to let the string go for the kite to fly higher, she just completely released the reel and it spun away, but the kite didn't fall, it just kept going up!
Kite out this time round was a much better experience, especially since the kite actually flew!

Perhaps next time we should figure out how to build a better kite similar to the one purchased, just to see if we've improved with our "craftsmanship".
