Zoo Day

Roy had planned for a photo-outing today at the Zoo and since I was available, I figured I'd join in. Uncle Tony was free as well and wanted to give his new 1D X a work out, so we found ourselves at the Zoo at 9am getting ready to go in and snap around.

I've been to the zoo a couple of times already so I wasn't sure what I'd be taking this time, or whether it'd probably be the same ol same ol.

These shots were taken with a kit lens, and quite frankly, I'm happy with it la, I was a bit worried but I guess I seldom blow my pictures up into huge sizes and just keep them for my own viewing and on Facebook, there really isn't a need to worry. I am quite happy with some of the outcomes though, although of course, I had to trial and error more than the high end DSLRs which would easily snap up a good shot so long as the composure is right...I had to struggle with low light and slow shutters!

Overall though, I have to say I'm rather happy with my snaps today.

Great photography trip, and thanks Uncle Tony for constantly treating us to food and drinks!
