I read this above quote yesterday and thought to myself "how true"...but then I later saw this video below in the morning.

I can say "Man...I wished I was like him" but to really try sit and ponder whether you could ever achieve what he's decided to do...that's another thing altogether.

Turns out the DBS Branch here CAN do banking services after all! Swooped in earlier to change my deteriorating ATM card to a Debit Card with ATM, Nets, and Debit Card function.

Better this way to monitor my finances rather than to use my Dad's sup card and keep paying him at the end of the month which is both troublesome for him and I to keep track.

Plus I get to apply for online subscriptions without having to trouble my Dad too...goodie!

Disciplinary Action

Decided to open a MySavings account to focus on my savings. Since I'm still not burdened by marriage, am gonna try sticking to a $1k deposit a month.

Challenging I know, but hey, better try now than don't try at all eh? Come to think of it I've managed to do so since the start of the year, just that now it's official, so even if I don't make the cut, the bank will just do the cutting for me.

Heck, if I miraculously manage to skim and save another $100 a month from my personal expenses for the next few months, hopefully I'll have $700 to play with by the end of the year. =D
