Saberstrip Test Shoot (Original, Aperture, Snapseed)

Met up with Neo in the evening to check out more details of his wedding and decided to bring along my 3rd mod at the Saberstrip, this time finding a harder cloth material to cover the front since the paper one I had in the 2nd mod was too soft and crumpled easily.

We were shooting in the dark and just like the assignment I did with Colin, Al and Calvin last year, I underexposed everything again. Photos below.

Shots above were taken with the Saberstrip positioned horizontal to the ground, so it was a beam of light above head level.

Tried to save them in Aperture, but they weren't as nice as I'd like them to be. But ok la, overall pretty happy that it wasn't completely ruined.

Not sure if it's just me or some of the photos look a tad HDR-like...I think it had to do with trying to save the exposure which resulted in this effect...ok la, it's not as heavy as some HDR photos, can't say they are my favorite, but can't say I don't like them either.

The last shot above was with the Saberstrip placed vertical. Set up below.

And just for comparison, below are two images edited using Snapseed on the phone, not bad but rather noisy if you check it up close.
