I've dined at Petals when I was a student at SHATEC, and I've dined there again when they revamped the place as Charcoal. I haven't, however, tried their new restaurant now called Recipes.
It's a salad buffet concept, and it's no Sizzler, a lot less choices but the price is still on the high side unfortunately.
Taste wise it's alright, though I wouldn't come again, it was a one time thing just to see how SHATEC's been these days. Unfortunately, not that good, Wong from my reservist who was a SHATEC student and now a teacher at ITE has been telling me to try their French restaurant in ITE itself that is pretty good but only available when there's a class for it.
Will look forward to trying that eventually since it's just opposite the house!
