Talk about late night drama.
Apparently there has been another cat around the neighbourhood that has been coming to our house which has gotten our cat rather agitated, causing him to mark his territory in the living room aka pee.
It's one of the reasons why whenever he's at the living room late at night that he keeps meowing to the door and window.
So last night at around 2am, he started meowing again and I went to see what the fuss was about. I grabbed the cat and opened the door only to see a silhouette in a distance. This got my cat even more agitated and he started struggling to be released from my arms, scratching me in the process.
I figured maybe it was good for the cat to settle his score once and for all, so I let him lose and he made a run to the outside of the house.
Not sure if you can tell from this photo, but my cat's tail is all fluffed up, and yes he got poofier as the taunting took place, both bellowing loudly to scare the other. Though just 11 months old, my cat was a lot bigger than the other male.
I later found out that the other cat is also a house cat! That was when I bent under a car to take this photo and saw a bell around his neck. Uh oh, better stop the fight. The taunting did last for a good half and hour or so, and finally when I got my cat out in the open, I grabbed him and brought him back home, followed by a warm bath.
I think the confrontation helped quite a bit last night, cause he didn't meow the rest of the night, guess he managed to chase his opponent away.
You can tell he was rather tired, it's been awhile since he's had any interaction with another cat and his first in such a long time was a street brawl.
