Cat Got Out

So the scariest thing happened this morning.

Apparently the cat was wandering around the house early last night and crept into one of my brother's room. Seeing that the sliding door was open, he went out and slipped into the neighbour's balcony.

This was fine an everything, but because he was dead quiet, no one knew he had gone over, and the next morning when my brother woke up, he closed the sliding door before heading out!!!

It was only around 2 plus did my mum messaged on Whatsapp saying that the cat had gone missing, my youngest brother was at home and searched high and low but couldn't find him.

I quickly left the office and rushed back home, to which midway he texted saying he had found the cat at the neighbour's house.

Apparently the poor auntie next door tried to bring him in buy he wouldn't dare touch her and even scratched her...ah!

So apparently he had been outside at the balcony under the hot sun for a good few hours, oh no! When we brought him back into the room he was rather stressed and uneasy until he started to realise where he was. He spent quite a lot of time drinking from the water bowl, I would think he was pretty dehydrated...oh dear.

Another thing was that he smelled of pee...yep, he peed himself outside at the balcony and sat in his own pool.

So basically he stank, and since I had reached home, I drag him into the shower with me.

He obviously wasn't very pleased, but I had to do it for his own good. Washing off the smell was my priority, he could groom himself later.

After a pretty long rinse and dry, he seemed to have calmed down a little.

My youngest brother's at home with him now and I'm back at the office, thank goodness everything's ok, I was pretty worried for a bit, but I guess he's quite a hardy fella.

When they pee like that, it was because they were stressed and scared. Luckily its just your neighbour's house.

Yeah man, I figured he was stressed. He apparently kept meowing when my brother went to pick him up next door, and later became very cautious of his surroundings for the next 1-2 hours.

He's fine now though, back to his old nonsense, he even tried to go to the balcony again #Fail

Cat is cat and its in their nature to roam about. So be prepared for more escapes.
