I've been meaning to drop by this place for quite some time now, Valerie Cheah had told me about it and I've been wanting to go down and support the little joint but haven't had time to do so.
Since I woke up late this morning, and the cafe was sorta near, a quick peek showed that they were opened, and I hopped over for a Christmas luncheon at the place =)
I've heard about their Nasi Lemak and though not a big fan of it (PNL being the exception...and Mdm Kwan), I was wanting to try it, but since it was the Christmas season, Christmas specials were the order of the day. The food is definitely good, I haven't had turkey yet this Christmas so this was definitely welcomed. =)
What's the point of stopping by Lynn's Cakes and not having...cake? So I did! Anyone who knows me know that I'm not much of a dessert person, more a savory sort. The cakes were still worth mentioning. The Hazelnut (can't remember the name, omg!) cake wasn't too sweet, which was good, meaning that it didn't come across as too overpowering, it hit the spot for me.
The cheese cake was really good too, though I think in general cheesecake isn't hard to go wrong. The portion wasn't too big, meaning I didn't feel too bloated after the meal.
Overall it was a good stopover, thoroughly enjoyed myself at the place and it was great catching up with Husband and Wife, Lynn and Jonathan, whom I've only managed to see during Jada Art's exhibitions so far.
