Celebrating Serene's Birthday

So Desmond had informed us that Serene's birthday was happening next Monday and wanted to pop a surprise for her on Thursday's run. Since Serene's boyfriend was free, Derek too chipped in to help get everything together.

Thursday morning I received a phone call from Derek who was frantically trying to get a hold of Desmond regarding the arrangements, he was searching all around to get the card, present, and cake together for that evening, you can tell from his voice he was pretty anxious, such dedication!

I think all that preparation paid off, as they managed to get the cake in time and even surprised her during the cool down at Scape after the run.

You can tell from the picture above that Derek was quite relieved that everything went well, you can say he was quite contented with the outcome. lol.
