Was super surprised today when a phone call from Parisilk came in, the EM1 had arrived!!!! I frantically searched for second hand lenses but only managed to find the 14-150mm at a last minute, thankfully it was in a really good condition and kept well by its previous owner!
Placed beside my existing Canon 450D with the 18-135mm lens, the OMD looks a lot smaller in comparison!
Size aside, it's a pretty awesome beast so far, loving the AF speed and low light performance!
The camera allows remote snapping, and the setup is super easy, just scan a QR code and you're done! The photo above was taken remotely, with the phone as the controller, you can see on the phone that the animated shutter was closing down as the camera took the shot.
Since I was at it, I might as well take dinner as too, which was at Folks Collective, a Thai restaurant at China Square.
I also got to meddle a bit with the art filters, which some pass as gimmicky, other say its pretty good, these below are the ones I like.
The shots today were straight out of camera, and mostly at iso2000. The 5-axis stabilizer is a beast! Most of the shots had a shutter time ranging from 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, and 1/10.
If these are the results from a relatively "slow" lens, I can't wait to put on the 25mm f1.4! =D
