Facebook Chat Heads

I was pretty surprised when Yao Kun randomly messaged me the other day enquiring about something, but was more surprised to find his face in a bubble plastered on my homescreen rather than via notifications (didn't take a screen shot, sorry).

Apparently FB just updated their app for both iOS and Android with a new Chathead feature. The chathead bubble will appear on top of any app on Android, and inside FB on iOS while you're browsing.

I hardly use FB chat as a form of communication but it's interesting to see the lengths FB is going through to push its social network to the masses.
