Google Has Gotten Beautiful

I agree with a lot of people that Google hasn't exactly been a name you associate good design with since the beginning, and that it was only recently in the past 1+ years do we see more and more Google apps look decent, if not, really nice as compared to what they previously were.

It's not just in Android, but in iOS, as well as Google's web experience. The Verge has a pretty nice video which interviews the staff at Google to understand how they got their act together to start making design a crucial part in their software development, resulting in a design language that is a lot prettier than its previous incarnations, and uniquely Google.
