More of a want than need...to be frank there wasn't anything wrong with the old Galaxy Nexus. Load times were alright though games took longer to start up, which didn't matter to me since I seldom played games other than Asphalt 7 which I recently decided to start on.
The Nexus 4 is zippy though, plus its really well built. I thought the Galaxy Nexus was actually a pretty decent phone, and I think I wouldn't have considered the Nexus 4 if it were for its price...I paid $480 without contract for their 16gb model (unfortunately they don't have anything higher), which would have been cheaper if we had not paid for the online service to do the purchasing for us.
For now I'm still missing a phone cover for this guy so I'll stick to the Galaxy Nexus until I get one.
