Zhirong's a really good friend from way back when, you can say he's as good as family la, from my period back when I was still in Shatec, they were like the Tier 0 I have today.
Yesterday after work, I managed to find time to pay a visit at Zhirong's office where he's also set up a small track for drift sessions with some of the hobbyists nearby the area.
I haven't toyed around with hobby RCs in quite awhile, it really was an expensive hobby and at that time it made sense to have done it, now though, I have other priorities so I've been out of it for quite awhile.
That said, it really was fun picking it up again, and the new setups are so elaborate, it's so hard trying to hold a corner like before!!! Aparently RC Drifting has went from 4 Wheel Drifting (where I started) to 4 Wheel Counter Steering, and now it's Rear Wheel Drifting like the real deal you get from the 1:1 scale cars...and boy it's tougher than the former!
The pictures above is actually my car...but I've not touched it for so long, naturally it's become one of Zhirong's chop mods...I didn't mind, I didn't think I'd touch it again anyway either. The front mounted motor is a hack job he had did combining a few parts together...the motor's suppose to be near the read by the way...I though it looked pretty cool, and it works!
Overall it was a great time spent with close friends from the past. We ended at about 4:50am and made our way home...maybe I'll try to pop by again some other time. =)
