Apple's Store Philosophy

The user experience doesn't just stem from one or two device, and when it comes to providing a whole user experience, Apple's really good at such things...though I can't say the same for our local Apple stores which are essentially retail outlets operated by third party vendors, elsewhere, the experience looks really good, with a lot of thought put into providing users with the best experience possible when they visit an Apple store to buy a device.

Now I'm not saying that Apple's the only store that does it...and quite frankly what Apple's really good at is promoting itself to be really good at things via its promotional videos. There are a lot of stores, malls, etc that are not necessarily gadget base, but also have their own philosophy when it comes to such approaches, but of course, they don't make videos of it and share it with the world.

However, it's through these promotional videos, that they let the customer feel a little bit more of being part of the Apple family, just enough to entice them to want and come back for that Apple experience, and that's where Apple has an edge over their competition if you ask me.

Of course you can't expect companies like Samsung, Sony, LG etc, even Google, to follow the same approach, as Chris mentioned in his Nexus 4 vs iPhone 5 video, different companies have very different business models. But if you ask me though, when it comes to retail, apart from software companies like Google or Microsoft, selling hardware, which should be a forte among the manufacturing giants Sony, LG, Samsung, Toshiba, Lenovo etc, it seems Apple's leading the way while the rest are falling short behind.

I feel scammed now when I was in Shanghai. I visited 2 apple stores and they are obviously not as hype as the one in the video. -_-

Oh, I thought you went to the official one! I convinced Eileen to visit the Grand Central outlet when she's there, damn jealous, would've loved to see it for myself
