Joined Din, Eve, Neo, Eileen, Calvin, David Tan, David Yeow, and Uncle Chua at MacRitchie today to do a few laps and get a hang of the MR25 Ultramarathon we were intending to take part in.
Uncle Chua lead us on the first lap and gave us a heads up on a few things along the route.
At the 5km mark of the first round, it was interesting seeing Din and David "evaporating"...steam was coming off everyone's top, think cause it was cold in the morning!
The first round was good, and we paced up the second round...I almost tripped and hurt my left ankle but thankfully we could carry on.
Neo, Calvin and I decided to go for a third round, Eve wanted to do so as well but she had initially tripped and didn't want to risk injuring herself since the GE women's run is next week.
The last round was a bit tough, but it was doable...if we did a fourth round though, we may not have pulled through. 3 rounds was still a good set for an orientation run, hopefully in the following weeks we'll condition ourselves for the 3 rounds and move on to a fourth.
Lunch was at Bishan, chicken rice for most of us, western for Eve, David Yeow, and Kee Wee whom we bumped into at MacRitchie....great stuff, awesome way to end the run. =D
K I'm seriously tired now, heading to bed. ZZZZZZZZ
