Roasted Chicken, Tuna, Beans, and Veg

Ok, I did not cook the chicken, it was a $3.50 leg I got from Cold Storage.

The rest I did, long beans with butter n chili flakes (the little packets from countless dominos pizza orders), baked beans, and er...tuna.

Yeah...don't want to mess up the kitchen too much at this hour.

Maybe a bit ironic I'm labeling this under "health" but...beans, chicken, tuna, hello glutamine....I hope!

your diet looks like page out of the c1 cookbook already! mind as well go all out for 1 month of c1 diet and see where it gets you?

Haha, not yet la, I think it's similar in a sense that it's individually cooked items on a plate, but apart from that it's probably no where as healthy.

Currently I'm doing two things differently with my diet, trying to up my glutamine via food (hence the beans, chicken, eggs, tuna etc), and drinking lots of water on a daily basis...now I go through 1.5L a night and 1.5L a day on top of my usual drinks for lunch or dinner if I'm outside.

I have to admit there's finally a "clincher" which is the glutamine to help increase my immunity system, cooking a bit time consuming at times so I only do it when free loh...if not I'd probably end up seeing myself looking into glutamine powder as a substitute.

I just finished the beans, steak n tuna I bought last week, so need to see if I've got time to buy them again. At the end of the day still a bit hard to go ala C1 diet style, but just an up in glutamine intake to see where it takes me, I hope it works!

How are you going to conclude if it works or not? Even with my strict diet, I still fall sick.

Just for completeness, need to include this related post:

Honestly dunno how to conclude if it works, I figured I'm just going to increase my glutamine intake but do not wish to conduct an experiment on myself.

The results I guess will be to see:

1. When will I fall sick again.
2. How fast I recover

As for stress, still trying to figure out how to lower that. For the whole of last week, parents were overseas so quite relax, did my own work with ease and what not.

Currently doing neck stretches every morning and night to help loosen the muscles in the area, hope that's a remedy for now too bah.

come to think of it, you are already experimenting on yourself by increasing glutamine intake right? perhaps you wish to ponder the scenario where increased glutamine does help with yr immune system and you also come to realise that health has to compromised in pursuance of a "live-to-eat" diet? are you willing to adjust your eating beliefs/habits?

please don't feel pressured to do anything, I'm just throwing questions out there that I think you should be asking yourself and hopefully work a solution that completes your life. I don't have all the answers and I don't even think that Colin does - most of the time we just act smart and enjoy the nonsense that we pick up along the way.

Haha, no la I'm not pressured or anything by both you and Colin's contribution, but thanks for checking.

Yes I agree with your first para. That's where the idea of glutamine powder comes into play.

As stated n my LTE post, moderation is still key, and that good food does not necessarily mean unhealthy food either.

I am quite convinced that my diet is a fairly typical one and not too fat overloading like you find in a junk-food style diet, but I do agree with Colin that due to us exercising regularly, it's rather important to note our diets may require something different to cope with that regime.

I'm taking it slow for now I guess, glutamine seems to be the current focus in terms of diet and stress levels seem to be my current focus in lifestyle, so hopefully by targeting these two areas, I could see a change in my health without having to make a major shift in my diet for the time being and come into conflict with my LTE philosophy.

cross fingers la of course touch wood nothing bad happens!

Your LTE is definitely working out fine because you are obviously not overweight.

That's true!!!

- Weight Management, checked.
- Variety Management, checked.
- Expenses Management, checked.
- Immunity Management, in progress.

Might be a good idea to go for a health check up this year to check my cholesterol and what not again, wonder if there's a health screening anywhere anytime soon.
