This marks the 1 year I've been doing event running since I first participated in the POSB run back in 2011!!! Thanks to Al for the lobang which got everyone in for the POSB race this morning.
Babe hardly has the time to run and considering she had a 3 week hiatus before the race, I thought she did pretty good!
Her last year's timing was alright, slightly above 1hr 10mins. This year she's improved quite a bit. At first she almost gave way when her feet hurt from blisters that were forming. She was about to bug out at the 9km mark until I realised on my runkeeper that she was still faster than her last year's timing.
I hurriedly signal to her that she still had the opportunity to beat her old timing, to which she picked up pace and pushed her last kilometer to the finishing line.
I think the results speak for itself. Though we haven't gotten the official timing, I'm still really happy with her performance!
We even bumped into Norul who's a regular with activity runs such as this cause it allows her to bring the family out and participate, managed to see her husband and son (so cute!) but did not get a chance to see her daughter whom I know to be quite the runner eh?
Colin and Al took the opportunity to do a recovery run, and I believe Calvin scored a PB for himself, great job!
Congrats too to Hannee and Sharon who took part in the 3.5km walk, I think Hwee was totally stunned when she saw me with the camera at the end of the line!
Today's outing was awesome, I think everyone had fun this morning, glad to have taken part in this event!
