Google Search with Voice Search - Coming to iOS

Some may say that with the recent departure of Maps and Youtube from iOS, Apple is officially waging a war against Google by purging itself of the search giant.

Of course, there are two ways to look at it, either negatively, or positively, meaning this purge has allowed Google to focus on making its own versions of such apps which brings in features they'd like to see in their products.

One such item coming up is the new voice search app for iOS, which comes with Google's version of voice search.

It probably won't matter much to most users unless you rely heavily on voice commands as part of your daily workflow though, do note that Siri is as good as its sources it's digging into, and when you compare Wikipedia and Wolfram Alpha's combined search capabilities to Google Search, you can understand why Apple's referring to Siri as a beta build at this point.

Here's a video of Google Voice Search and how it fairs compared to Siri if you're into these kinda things (forward to 3:14).
