Did close to 20km today, our main training was 18km but since we overshot the turning point, those who wanted to continue after the 18km mark did, so Kartono and I continued to pace on.
Same as yesterday, some of the runners were experiencing problems with their GPS, think it might be a network thing, mine also didn't catch it during the run but when I ended the training session, the phone apparently did record the distance.
Eunice, one of the runners did mention to me before that she was concern about maintaining constant pace throughout a 21km run, but today at 18km, I thought she did really well! Considering how much she's improved in the past few months, I'd say people who work hard reap good results, and you could tell today's pacing was an experience, but not a very tough one for her.
Also worth noting is that I'm back at my Zero Drops, and the ankle pain is gone!!! I was going to take Al's suggestion to sell and change another pair of Newtons but today's test kinda helped realise that the 3mm drop wasn't for me. The plantar was still sore today, but not as sore as it was last week, so hopefully that means the muscle underneath my feet are strengthening.
Overall a really good run today, with a briefing session to close the run, we even found ourselves at Old Airport Road eating to cover back the amount of calories burnt.
Next week's a full 21km run...not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not...haha!
