Right away, you'd be able to find your phone connected as a shared folder on Finder. This app is currently only able to connect to OSX (Sorry Windows users, apparently your network setup is too complicated to get connected with).
From there you can dump stuff in, take stuff out, the works. Of course, if you're on a 16gb phone like my Nexus, it doesn't do much. If you're on say, a 32gb Samsung Galaxy S3 with another 32gb expandable storage, chances are you can do a lot of stuff with it. 1.6gb on my phone's small but it still allows me to transfer important documents should I need to.
I like it cause with AirDroid, I get a full management interface with sms and other stuff included. But for times where I just want to dump stuff straight into my phone like I would with a SD card on Finder, this certainly comes in handy, plus no logins necessary, just turn it on and it's there on your mac.
