This was my second time here, the first being the time I came for work purposes under Art Outreach. I do think this place serves up one of the best Char Siews in Singapore. Of course there's Kay Lee, and that's good too, they're just a different grade of good, Kay Lee's probably the best bang for buck if you're eating on a lower budget. Oversea Restaurant is for when you're dining at a proper restaurant and want some really good char siew.
Being a Malaysian restaurant, this recipe is no doubt very Malaysian, which probably explains why it's good like the ones at Meng Kee in KL. The sauce for this is super thick though, and for some, rather salty, but it's still really nice to sink your teeth into. =D
I think if I were to bring my mum here, she'd complain about how salty the food is...which to some extent I do agree...perhaps some toning down on the salt content might be good, but besides that the food really tasted fantastic. =)
