So apart from the form factor, screen, internal hardware and features, another key feature of the SGSIII was whether or not its camera could out perform its predecessor. The Galaxy Nexus was supposedly a step down in terms of quality compared to the SGSII, but the SGSIII seems to have pulled off a pretty good job so far, judging from the pictures taken from GSM Arena's (Yes, there's a Phone Arena, and a GSM Arena, not related) website.
Click the pictures below to enlarge and make a quite comparison for yourself...seems like detail has been improved quite a bit, although the sample camera packs a f2.6 instead of the f2 and f2.4 lenses which the HTC One X and iPhone 4S are packing.

The SGSIII probably has nothing to brag about in terms of optics, which is probably why it wasn't announced during the launch, but it seems that the camera does perform slightly better, offering a bit more detail than the SGSII.
Video looks good too though it was mounted on a tripod so you can't compare stability.
As usual, Phone Arena (Not GSM Arena) will most likely perform a much more detailed comparison once the phone is released, for now, they seem promising in daylight, with no night time shots to compared with yet.
For a rather lengthy first-review of the SGSIII, head on down to GSMArena (LINK) to take a look.
