Why Should You Buy a Nexus???

No this isn't an entry to recommend people to get a Nexus. I've enjoyed using my Android device and its features but I've never found myself recommending one to anybody over the iPhone (except once to babe, and that was only because she didn't like the design of the iPhone 4), and with good reason.

The Nexus line of phones are suppose to be Google's pure devices, the one which wouldn't be affected by people who didn't like fragmentation, the device that would run pure vanilla Android without skins on top, the one device that would get timely updates and bug fixes which you are less likely to get from other Android devices.

However, but when ICS rolled out, the first Nexus (HTC Nexus One) was reported that it would not support ICS. The Nexus S by Samsung received updates for some, but later the updates stopped rolling in for months cause of a battery bug which has now been fixed, and even then Nexus S users are experiencing bugs with 4.0 on their devices.

Galaxy Nexus users are enjoying 4.0 with little to no problems, but with the two older devices facing so much difficulty with the new updates, what's to say that the Galaxy Nexus will perform once Android 5.0 comes?

Here's an article of a Google Nexus S user and his frustrations with Google's support for Nexus devices.
