Did extra reading into the Polygon series and though the brand doesn't stand out, a few of the reviews I read about Helios in general is that people buy them cause it's a great starter bike, plus it's definitely not a no-frills bike cause it comes with some pretty decent group sets...even better group sets if you buy their high range bikes, that offer a lot of acceleration that you get in bikes that cost double the price, as well as features such as concealed brake/gear lines which you can only find on branded bikes if you fork out 2-3 times the price.
The good thing about the low range polygons are that they are available for cheaps on the resale market, with little wear and tear, meaning you could buy them, use it, and if you don't like it, you'll be sure that it gets solds really quick if you put it back in the forums.
The above video is of the Polygon Helios 200, an entry level road bike that already comes with a gear set that's second from the lowest instead of the lowest like you'd get on other brands for the price.
Below's a video of the Helios 900 800, a high end racing bike with some serious components.
Last video at the bottom is another high end bike, a Triathlon this time, one that's even been on podiums so it's a pretty big deal.
I think at the end it's more a debate about brand consciousness, do you care if you drove a Proton or a Ferrari? Then again, even Luo Yicheng can stun WYYC on stage using an Auldey so anything's possible.
