With a new high res display comes some seriously high res icons. iOS's icons are now 512 by 512, and in comparison, the image above is the resolution of the first Mac OS (512 by 342).
I was curious and so I looked further to see what other comparisons are there.
Windows Icons are at the moment, 256 by 256.
Android Icons are also at 512 by 512.
Lion OSX icons are a whooping 1024 by 1024.
