The initial plan was a hard and fast 10 to have a gauge of where I'm at. With the run just a week away, it seemed like the right time push up.
Did the ten route which I took earlier this year where I ran into some foot trouble and busted my foot arch for a few months.
Passed the area where I stopped to rest my sore foot back in february and that's where things took a turn.
Tried avoiding a lady on the foot path and took to the grass...grave mistake. Struck a hidden rock and slipped. Didn't fall, but the rock started to roll and before I knew it I was surfing on an uneven sharp stone.
Didn't matter at first as I picked up pace and moved on. At about another 3 minutes into the run my foot arch started to burn again...what luck!
Stopped by HCJC and started walking...
It was a good seven, but rather disappointing that I didn't get to fulfil my ten.
That said I could tell that I couldn't maintain my pace for another kilometre or so...might need to train a bit more, especially since I ate quite a bit during my time in reservist.
Gonna walk home slowly to nurse my feet.
Booking into camp for one last time tomorrow...then it's back to the work life.
Damn I'm limping...
