The plan was to run with Adrian and Eve but Mr Wong ended up sick the night before and so it was just me and Ah Woo.
It was also my first time giving a new pair of shoes to try, Fresh Foam Trails from New Balance. From a minimal-wearing runner, I was suddenly rocking one of the thickest soles around.
Transitioning from thin soles to really thick ones was a lot tougher than I thought. I was feeling a bit lost when I couldn't feel the ground at all. With Vibrams it was all rocks and stones, though it hurt, there was a feedback you could get with every step that I couldn't get out of thicker soles.
Nonetheless, these were pretty decent shoes that works on soil-base trails and very well on roads too.
I even managed to get a falling shot on the trail, thought I think I could have posed better...hey flexing the core muscles to keep my legs up wasn't easy though. O.o
Being a little sore for missing coffee, we decided to head to Nylon for a cup. This place isn't for those who'd like to sit and chill....rather you drink, chat a little, and be on your way.
Adrian loves this place, and was explaining what made the coffee here so good. I understood what he was talking about, but I guess I need more practice to actually appreciate it. Not that I don't, it was a really solid cuppa.
Long day, I'm sitting at Funan now having Milo and blogging. Shall end here...next stop, to Hong Lim Park. =)
