It's the holidays =)

Sad that it's only one week, but still, a holiday's a holiday =)

I'm glad summer school's over, it's dreadful knowing that we gotta take it again next year...sigh.

As for now though...

SUN, SAND, SEA

How cliche can this title get eh? lol

Monday, our sch was given a break for national day, so Xinwei, Richmond, Chang and I headed out to Sentosa to chill out and slack since it was a free day and there was nth else to do =)
The place near Cafe Del Mar was under constructions, so it was pretty darn loud at times, and since sch kids were on a short one day break as well, the beach was pretty packed.

I think some of us had a really bad tan that day, even me. lol
Xinwei brough Diana along, and took some pretty cool snaps as well, some were under exposed though, but this one I love the best =)
If you want more pictures of the Sentosa trip, u can find them here

Happy Birthday to Grace and Deb

The UNLV Singapore Hotel Association had two members whose birthday fell on the 18th of August, so Angela from our committee had set up a birthday surprise for the girls, and on Tuesday, they bought a cake and surprised the two of them, at the same time we wished Steffanie and Lydia a safe journey for their trip to America where they will spend the next few months of University life

Jungles are fun, long walks in jungles are ok, long walks in jungle with steep slopes...screw field trip
We had our second and final field trip on Tuesday where our lecturer took us to the Treetops trail .

The trip started out ok, but once it was realised that this was gonna be a near 10 km walk, it started becoming hell.
We reached a tower at one point and there were monkeys on top!!! I'm a sucker for monkey pictures(well...not really, I just wanted to take a photo of one and say that I'd done it...lol.) so I went up, got as close as possible without getting bitten by one, and took a snapper =)
Overall, the trip was shit long, but some of the scenery was pretty impressive, sadly though there wasn't ALOT of stuff to see.
Oh ya, Xinwei took photos photos too, I like her shots, they look daaaaamn freakish! solid stuff indeed =)

Wednesday night was Pizza night

That's all I'm really gonna say, I just had to put it up on the blog. =)

Daiso stuff...

Thursday, I met up with Cheng from camp and had dinner with him before he left for Canada, 4 months in that place seems like a really interesting thing to do, all the best with him!

I didnt take photos though, sorry. But I did take pictures of the stuff I bought at Daiso while I was there...lol $10 worth of it by the way =)
I'll tell u now though...my cookies were a flop, the soup isn't that very good, the noodles were damn salty(according to Xinwei) and the sweets weren't all fruit flavor...some were...chocolate? er....yuh. I think the only useful thing I got here was the charcoal shoe deodorizer, and even that is missing now..lol

Chin Ya's 21st Birthday

Friday, Danielle, Germaine and Robert had planned a surprise for Chin Ya who turned 21 that day, and in order to surprise her, they invited her boyfriend to the sch, and made her busy looking for her present while her BF hid in a big cardboard box to surprise her in the end =)
I think this was the cutest birthday surprise I ever witness, I hope Chin Ya had a great 21st birthday =)

Dinner with Food buddy Lynnette

So Lynnette called me one day while I was in school to help her get a present for a friend of hers and so I headed down to look for a laptop mouse for her.

And since we were food buddies for the longest time, how can we not go try out something together right?

So we headed down to Shatec's Charcoal to give the place a shot
I've heard a schoolmate Eugene mention that the place was terrible, but I personally think it was pretty ok, maybe the food that day turned out alright, no complains from me regarding the food, although I think the students should check on their menu items properly next time before they make an order, cause it said "salmon" on the menu but the chef had replaced it with sea bass and the student waitresses didn't follow up on it.

All in all though, I'd recommend ppl to try it at least ONCE, if u like it, go again, if u don't, at least it was an experience. lol

K well I'm done here, there's nothing much I wanna talk about today, everything's just a short recap of what happened the entire week.

I'll leave u guys with this video from Justice, it's called "DVNO", and I love the mtv, it's basically inspired from 80s TV company logos, some you may recognize(especially the last one at the end where the guys play the piano), check it out!!!

K, have a great week people.

Cheers everyone!

Andrew
