Dogs, Rocks, Brotz...

Haha

What a lousy attempt at trying to make things rhyme eh?

Anyway, this week's been pretty fun. Next week's our last week for summer school, then it'll be a one week holiday, cross fingers nothing will go wrong and I could be able to go up to KL to meet up with Furlong and crew again for some chill time =)

Before I go ahead with anything though, I shall try and get Colin's attention for a minute.

HEY! Check out wat Mr Bruce Love brought and gave to the store on Saturday?
Ain't she a beauty? He came looking for counterweights and he wanted the sponge ball, so I didn't have any with me at the moment, and gave him the red one from your black box, hope you don't mine, I'll replace it for u if u want =)

K where was I?

Oh yes

MONDAY

Some of you who don't know, I've got a best friend in Secondary School who goes by the name of Leon, and just the other day, I got a msg from him that he and some of his friends from SMU(Singapore Management University) had opened a cafe nearby my sch and asked me to head down and check it. =)
Are you a Hot Dog fan? Do you study or work near SMU?

Then I think you would wanna check out this place for a bit =)

Screme basically was the brain child of 6 people from SMU, which is a cafe that is run by students studying in the school. After their done and graduate, they have to shut the place down for the next group of business-minded students to take over. =)

The place pretty much serves up some good beer, and if you're one who's the type to like fruit beer, you might wanna try out Timmerman, which is friggin bad ass.
My God, this isn't a food blog! Why chit chat so much about the details of the food?
I'll say this though, the hotdogs are good, but the pizza still needs a bit of tweaking, it's got the looks, but the tomato paste needs a bit of fine tuning before it gets my approval.
Also if you're into a bit of things to try out, you can have a taste of their breakfast shot, which basically tastes like something you'd have for breakfast, only served in a small glass with alcohol =)
The place will be making Ice Cream too, but at the moment they got none for trying, so maybe I'll pop by again some other time to have a go at it =)

TUESDAY

Remember Geology Class?

We had our first field trip on Tuesday to check out the East Coast Park. I haven't been to the place in ages, so it was good to go around a bit, and take photos of course =)
Overall I think the trip was great, I was busy being distracted by my camera and photo taking I guess I wasn't as bored as some of the other students
Xinwei from Rebel 1 also brought her Lomo Camera she had gotten for her 21st Birthday and decided to play with it while at the beach. I love her shots, you should check it out!
She had a few more pictures, but I don't have them up on a photo album, so I'll just put the three I thought were really nice =)
Some of us later decided to hang out for dinner, some where near Bedok for Satay, BBQ Seafood, and Durians. We were all geared up for Durians, but I think dinner pretty much ruined everything so we only had three...lol
We stayed up till around 8 plus, then left cause we had Exams on Wednesday....which I spent the better part of my Tuesday Night reading up notes and such. 97.5 I think was pretty bad ass, the top was 98, so I wasn't far behind. Wow am I really choosing the right career path in Hotel Administration?lol. Anyway the next few topics look shit hard, so I think I'll be looking at a much lower grade for the final exam coming next week.

Anyway those interested, you can check out more pictures of the Geology Trip over at this photo album:

Geology on the Rocks

WEDNESDAY

After the exams were over, some of us decided to chill out, so Eugene and KZ were eyeing the new Brotzeit restaurant bar at Raffles city, which we decided to head over and give it a try.
I'm not one to drink much alcohol, but if it's one beer I can enjoy, it's the Dark Original from Paulaner, awesome stuff =)
For the price though, I doubt I'll be going there soon again. But I have to say, wow the Pork Knuckles were good. =) But if you had to pay $36 for one plate, I'd gladly buy the one at Marche, it may not be better than the one at Brotzeit, but it's more worth the money than this one =)

THURSDAY

I sent my Macbook Pro in for repairs.
Now I shouldn't be opening my Macbook Pro cause the warranty would have been voided, but I needed to switch back to my original Hard drive first before I sent it in. I hope no one from Apple is reading this! =P

It's pretty much about time. Here's some of the stuff that needed looking at:

1. DVD Burner - GONE CASE
2. LCD Screen - Partial brightness
3. Battery Faulty

I only brought it in for the DVD Burner, but the guy at the Apple Service Centre at Funan IT mall said I might as well put down other stuff and he'd try to see if he could help me out, apparently my battery was among those for recall so he said he'll put a notice for them too.

Hey Colin, and idea whether the apple service centre at Funan is good? I wanted to go iShop but it was pretty far from school.

Friday and Saturday, and today for that matter, were pretty boring. I spent National day hanging out at the store taking care of it. I'm pretty much tired of National DAy, it's the same every year, fireworks are over rated, trust me. Nothing like watching your tax payer's money exploding into a bright red-yellow-blue fireball in the sky.

I'm gonna end my post here, it's late

You guys take care ok? Cheers ppl =) And check out the Stand up Comedy videos I've put at the side of this blog.

Cheerios!

Andrew
