A week late

Sorry guys...

I wasn't able to update my blog last week for a couple of reasons...mostly with me being really really sick and too tired to update anything cause I was so down and out.

So I'll make up by squeezing everything for the past 2 weeks into this entry =) Let's start with...

Last Monday:

It was the last week of American Politics and Shi Chang, Qin Qing, Xin Wei, Jon, Eugene and I decided to head out after class for some Lan gaming. I havn't done that in ages, so what the heck right? I have to admit I have been sloppy recently and seldom take photos, but I did take a picture or two of the dinner we had at Geylang before that, frog leg porridge! YUM!
Now I havn't had frog legs in quite a while, and so far most of the time I have it deep fried at Geylang's 126 dimsum restaurant. So honestly, this was my FIRST time having frog legs porridge, and I really enjoyed it! Like, why didn't I eat this more often? And then I looked at the price and realised why...lol!

Last Tuesday

I really got nth much to write, but I had a snack down at Ya Kun Kaya and Toast. I havn't realised how big their eggs have become! Lol...normally when you have eggs and toast at regular coffeeshops, what u see is what u get at home too right? These were really big, so much for franchising, when you start to grow, u start looking for breeds, specifications and such, unlike last time where their eggs weren't any much different from those at coffeeshops =)
I have come to accept the fact that my blog has some glitch. As you can see, I don't post pictures of my food UPSIDE DOWN or VERTICAL all the time, I dunno what's wrong with it, I can't get it to stay upright even though it is on my computer. Colin, any assistance?
So what u see here is apparently a rotated photo of French toast which wasn't the way I took it, but nvm, so far it hasnt given me problems with pictures of people inside so it's cool...it's cool...

Anyway yes, french toast, I love french toast! Prolly one of the reasons why I bothered going back to Ya Kun that day, but mostly also cause I was waiting to buy a cake for this school mate of mine!
It was one of the HA member's Steff's birthday, so since some of us could surprise her, we did! And we were supposed to buy her a tub of Ben & Jerry's but due to time constrain and lack of ppl, we went ahead with a smal cake instead =) Happy Birthday Steff!

Last Wednesday
Robert, Kevin and I had set out to film Adam's HFTP Asia Student Chapter intro for his DVD compilation for the main headquarters in the states. After some cutting and fitting together, we managed 5 videos...well 4...and a credits video...so 5 videos under the HFTP Asia Student Chapter name...u can check it out here =)

These were done on Sony Vegas, so it was a lil hard to work with, not as fast and efficient as a Mac, but it was the school's computer and it was a school-related thing so we had to work with what the sch provided, plus we couldn't work with popular tracks so we had a lil slow music to work with instead. =\

Last Thursday

I got a call in the evening from Zhirong in need of desperate help to encode a video his girlfriend needed to play on her mac. Apparently he had been having a hard time trying to work with Sony's proprietary software conversion for their HD DVD Camcorder. I have to admit, I HATE Sony's proprietary stuff, although i LOVE their hardware, I just can't stand their lil knick knacks...but what to do..apparently her mac didnt have iLife 08 so she couldnt extract her videos with imovie, while window vista on Zhirong's laptop can't do shit in terms of conversion...windows...BAH!

So anyway cause it was really late and we hadn't finished with the encoding of her videos, we headed down to the airport to fix the problem.
Thank Goodness we had coffee or else I would have crashed that night. We stayed up the whole day after sending her off, to which I went home, took a quick 20-30 min nap, showered and headed for school.

Last Friday

Jacques had her birthday on that day, and although I wasn't really part of the Rebel 1s, I went ahead and joined them in celebration, which came as a surprise to her, a pleasant one of course, seeing how her friends had sneaked up a cake just for her =)
After that though, KZ invited me to dbl O to chill out and initially, after not sleeping for nearly 30 hrs, I wanted to say no....but I figured what the heck, and joined them...and guess what? rebel 4 was there! If you're a lil lost, Rebel 4's the name of the 4 cohort in our sch....the newer, younger guys =)...well not all were young, they had a 44 yr old dude in class as well =)
As usual, I look shit pissed, I would blame it on the lack of sleep, but Kelly will beg to differ, and say I "always have the same pose"...lol I guess I do.
I didnt stay long though, and had a quick meal of ipoh horfun(rotated against my will) and 3-egg spinach) with KZ and Eugene, then lasted till around 2 before I headed back home to ZZZZ

Which brings me to

Last Saturday

I woke up...SICK...sorethroat...shit tired....burning hot...ACK! I did head down to mend the spinworkx store though, mainly cause the guys had a busy day and had to head out to a lot of locations to perform that time.
I did manage to have dinner with Hans and Colin, it was good to have soup after a few days of not having any, plus being sick meant that chicken herbal soup was super good at that point in time =)

Sunday

I woke up feeling even worse...didn't do much, didn't say much....didn't blog. =(

Monday

Seo Joo and Tjie Siew had came back from main campus during the summer break and Jamie had passed a present for me, what a surprise!
Anyway it's a damn cool shirts, one for keeps thats for sure, although I dun really wear tshirts to begin with. lol =)

So like I said...lazy..sloppy, been doing nothing, no pictures whatsoever...thus, we skip right ahead to

Thursday

I met up with Cheng for dinner...yeah, pretty much it. We had steamboat at that chicken rice store at Yet Con hainanese chicken rice, the one ar Purvis Street that's supposedly pretty famous.
Well it's definitely different in taste, especially since they do their chicken a lil different than most hawkers. I don't know whether to consider the taste better or not, but it definitely was nostalgic, especially since we ordered the steamboat set, which tasted very home-cook and chinese-new-year like. lol

Friday

I received a call from Jeff from China ONE, there was some final discussions to be made about the video so I headed down to wait for him.
I have to admit the more I hang out at that place the more I really really like it!!! It's not like regular clubs, not the dancing and being all noisy and stuff, this one is really relaxed, chill out, sit and enjoy the atmosphere, and the DJ Tony To, this Vietnamese guy from Holland, as well as the resident band Tabula, which are in my opinion, REALLY GOOD =)

Anyway I had managed to finish their corporate video with a few minor touches, I can't show them to you guys, it's not to be uploaded, but I can show u the belvedere event I filmed while I was there, minus the logos and stuff and a lil editing to the words so it would be less problematic to post online =)

So I shall skip boring parts of my weekend and go straight to...

Sunday

not that sunday was any interesting, today was rather boring too, I spent 12 hrs in sch figuring Algebra out...I guess it was pretty hardcore, and rather stressful, I havn't touched math in 8 yrs, and I dropped A math during my secondary school years, so I had no idea what I was reading the entire time, but managed to grasp a lil along the way, still not enuff to stay alive, which is why I've been stressed recently. Even though it's the first week, it's bad enuff, considering I only got 4 weeks to go..ACK!

Anyway I'd like to review a lil about the instant noodles I had which I bought from Taiwan...I got lazy to go down for lunch so I whipped out my bowl of instant noodles from the top shelf and cooked it instead =)
URGH! What's wif the upside down pictures????? Somebody, help!
I shall not post the rest cause this is such a disappointment...gah! what's wrong???? =(

Anyway I think I put too little water into my noodles, which came out rather salty, but I guess it was pretty ok, very....canned-ba-teng that chilli base pork kinda flavour...but overall pretty good... =)

K it's 2:30am..I need to wake up at 6 plus tmr.

Takecare ppl, have a pleasant week, I'll try to post next week as well...till then, here's one last video, remember Abisaurus? Colin had put together a video we filmed, I hope you guys enjoy it, cheers!
