Mighty Fine Week =)

This week turned out to be pretty well spent. I figured that with school and everything I might not have time to commit to many things, but turns out when I glance back at the pictures I took, I think it's safe to say that this week rocked =)

THE GREAT DINO MIGRATION

So my week started off on Tuesday when Colin had informed me to try and help film the moving of their paper cardboard dinosaur Abisaurus.

Remember Brufus? That was then, and then Hans and Colin came up with another idea to build a paper-cardboard dinosaur, which they did and now they managed to get a spot at the art installation from Citylink to Esplanade's underpass =D
There were some issues with getting the big flammable sculpture down the escalator but after some negotiation with the security guard, Colin managed to get him to turn off the escalator for a few minutes so it'd be easier for them to hoist their big baby down the floors. =)

I didn't stay for the whole thing though, cause I had to go out and meet up with ZR, but u can read the rest at Colin's blog entry here

Dinner with Zhirong and the Guy at the RC Drift meet was pretty good, we tried out the nearby coffeeshop which had some pretty good deer meat and a mighty fine hot plate tofu dish =D
I'd love to find one day to go down to this stall at Teck Whye at block 160, which closed for about 2 years i think, and recently opened again. They serve up the meanest Hotplate beancurd I've ever had! And I'd definitely go there again some day to enjoy it once more =D

RENOVATION

Wednesday, Percy, Robert and I stayed back at the Podcast room in school to do some lil tweaking to the UNLV board which kept falling off the wall.

Dr Andy, our Dean, had suggested screws and bolts, so we did some tweaking with his idea, and went right ahead to solve the situation =)
FLAIRTASTIC

Thursday after my exams, which got me a miserable 77 marks(sigh), I headed down to Clarke Quay to help Shahmil and the bartenders from China One film their event for the promotion of Belvedere Vodka, something I'm not familiar about cause I don't really drink to begin with. lol.
Anyway they had some flair routines throughout the evening and I managed to take a few shots and filmed their demo which they did on stage as well =)
You can check out the Shahmil, Boyan and Ogy's flair routine here, Enjoy!

NEW BUDS

Oh, I forgot to add, my Shure E4Cs are currently sent in for repairs, God knows how much their gonna cost...sigh. Anyway in my state of frustration to hear good quality music, I forked out 70 bucks and got me a new set of Mylar earphones which were lower quality in built, but good in audio production as well, although I still cant get used to them cause their not anywhere close to what my Shures are churning out =(

NEW GROOVE

So the Podcast room needed new speakers, and Saturday, I spent my afternoon getting me a pair of Creative T10s for the room, which were pretty decent at picking up detail in a padded room. We were tight on budget, so non of that monitoring speaker crap...although it would have been awesome to have one =P
My only beef is that our school uses Windows for their video podcast editing, which is pretty sad, but still workable. Sony Vegas isn't exactly anywhere close to what Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere can churn out, but it'll do for now, hopefully the future batch of students will get something better to work with =)

CLUBBING AT THE ARENA

After installing the speakers, it was 10pm! So i headed down to Clarke Quay again to meet up with KZ and the gang at the Arena to chill out. It's been awhile since I clubbed and since KZ mentioned the DJ spinning that night was from the states, he figured we go check it out, which turned out to be a pleasant experience for me =)
Did I say I wasn't a drinker? seriously, I'm not, I think I had 2 glasses that night, and spent more time dancing to work away the damn alcohol...I can't take in much, cause then I'd be emo and silent.
You can check out the rest of the pictures on my Facebook Album

TATZ'S 20TH.

So today we went out to Timbre near the Asian Civilization Museum to celebrate Tat'z 20th birthday. It was great to have a small gathering to enjoy a lil fun time together as a bunch of uni school mates. =)
I enjoyed today a lot, and it's not only the company of friends that made it good, but...er...yeah, the food =P
Overall I think it was an enjoyable evening, totally worth it, and thanks Eugene for being an incredible host that night!

K it's late, I started at 2 and now it's almost 4.....ppfffffftttttttt...so much for deelee daalee-ing.

U guys have an awesome week ahead.

Cheers ppl =)

Lol. Yes! I think we ordered quite a lot that night, our friend treated us, so nice of him. I think one pizza ranged from $15 to $17...no that bad =)
