So far having to adjust with late nights and waking up in the morning at around 6am is still a lil hard for me.
I guess the 1 month of sleeping at 4am and waking up around 10-12 every day had turned me into a complete slob.
The new subjects are pretty ok.
There's Oral Communication that teaches you to talk in front of an audience with confidence...pretty fun so far, you basically learn how to talk talk talk talk, and figure out what to say when you're preparing for a speech.
There's also Art Appreciation, which turns out, focuses more on old art, 14th century...15th century...etc...currently we're learning the difference between shading, dimensions, characters, point of...er..perception? It's ok so far, at least I got the notes down so I'll basically need to buck up on my reading for that one.
Then there's Accounting...one of those subjects which I'm not exactly good at. To put it simply, it's a subject that I need to practice again and again in order to understand, not sit and listen about it. To make it worse, as though it's hard enough for me to listen about it in order to learn, I've got myself a lecturer who speaks with a strong chinese accent. It's so slurry....trying to understand it is bad enough...I can be listening halfway, and then he goes and say some word which I can't understand cause of his pronunciation, next thing I know once I'm done figuring out what he said, he's already moved on.
Words like "Gliirbel"(Global), "Paywholl"(Payroll), "Ahcunts Recibeble"(Accounts Receivable) etc are common heard throughout his lessons, I spend more time trying to figure out what he's saying than I spend time trying to learn what he's teaching...besides, how can I learn what he's teaching when I cant figure out what he's saying? =\
Anyway that's pretty much how classes are going on so far...I shall not dwell into boring stuff.
Speaking of Kelly, look what I got from her and Jenny? =)
Kelly's letter didn't come sealed with wax, but instead made it up by taping a Christmas candy cane to it, something I enjoyed chewing on while reading her Christmas card...lol thanks! =)
Speaking of eats....
Random question, why don't they make oreos like these?
I won't put pictures since most of you have seen them before the last time I wrote about them. But then we had a conversation about how Japanese people always decorated their food to make them look more appetizing, so we gave it a shot.
It's actually leftovers from the other dishes we had...lol! here we see...chilli, pickles, deep fried onion, half chewed pork bone and ginger....ack!!! Disgusting!
Anyway I got nth interesting to write about food this week, their mostly the same stuff this time round, just thought I'd share thise 2 really odd items (one edible, the other...er...edible if you really wanna try it) with u guys =)
Friday, I went to watch the monster movie event of the year "Cloverfield"
If you havn't heard of it, it's about this monster than rampages Manhatten and the whole thing was recorded one what looks like amateur footage.Sounds interesting? So did the many ppl who saw the viral trailer that was shown in the USA that had no title to the movie.
Was it good?
I didn't like it...not one bit.
Imagine an unsteady camera being wielded by a guy who runs alot...what do you get? Shaky footage.
Now imagine watching shaky footage for the next 1 hr 20 mins....on a screen, a BIG SCREEN, where all the movements are amplified by the size of that screen.
I'm seriously fine if the story had no plot or ending, especially for monster movies, I mean...come on, their monster movies!! War of the Worlds didnt have a good plot, but it was exciting, had a story, ended well too!
This movie ended...as in...it ended...the tape just stopped running.....no music....no nothing....then suddenly u see credits rolling and half the theatre going "huh? wth?"
Did I mentioned a couple of ppl stood up in the middle of the show to go out and vomit, or stand at the back to finish the show cause they had motion sickness?
Anyway the show was so terrible I can't believe I paid money to watch it, I wouldnt even watch it if it were for free!
Saturday
I woke up at 5....the night before, I slept at 2...that was after watching Cloverfield which gave me a headache.
I had to go down to Kallang MRT with the guys for the Chingay rehearsal. ...I was so damn tired, but what to do, last minute time changes to rehearsals are a bitch indeed.
This week was quite boring, and mainly filled with nth but me in school till the whee hours of the night.
I'm tired, I need to sleep
