One terrible problem, little good ones.

Sigh...

I just typed a crap load of stuff on this blog only to have everything erased by accident...smooth move "auto save draft" mode...*bleah!*

Anyway to cut short, my Monday started with my youngest brother borrowing my Video camera for a class project, and ends with him loosing the entire thing by the end of the week.

$1900...with extra batteries...wires...lens...$2000...GONE!!!!

I don't understand how my brother can't feel the sense of responsibility when he is
given the task of taking care of something really important.

I know of him to be the absent minded type but I never saw the day he's loose my video camera because he wanted to play with hims friends and left the bags unattended below a HDB block.

"But my friend also lost his handphone"...like that's gonna make me feel better...

Good news is I got a new camera, which of course, my brother is paying for, although I have my doubts, I am paying for it too, which kinda sucks since I had nth to do with it...but I guess I can't totally leave my brother to pay for the entire thing...
That said, I'm still gonna lend him the new one, it's for a school project after all, plus I can't imagine when was the last time he was so enthusiastic about school work. Fingers cross he don't loose it again.

And YES it's the new Sony HDV Hi-Def Video Camera...happy me...unhappy me...sigh more money to start saving to pay my dad back.

I love the pictures it takes though..like this one
Like it?

I do...

OH, and that toy, that brings me to something a little more cheerful to talk about.

Well...cheerful for ME.

Haha, you see, someone left this at the restaurant at Black Angus on Saturday and I happened to pick it up, really cute looking toy, I know you can't see it now but it's got legs...k not really...it's basically shaped like the letter "A" with eyes and a mouth.

I tried looking for the family but they had already left, so what the hell, I kept it with me until closing time, which when no one came back to retrieve it, it's finders keepers. =)

At least the lil thing managed to put a smile to my really upset face, after what had happened to my Video camera and all.

Oh yes...k back to some happIER stuff...

If you've ever been to Taiwan I'd really recommend you buy this bowl of noodles, called "Yi Du Zhan"...I think, can anyone who's awesome with Cheena help me out here?

I tried two bowls during the week and figured I'd share it with you guys.
K the first one's some spicy Beef bowl I can't figure out(Andrew + Chinese words = Disaster) which I really liked.

The noodles were very normal, VERY normal so their basically like regular instant noodles, but the beef was good, very good in fact, I liked the texture and the taste, very delicious I finished up the whole bowl and even drank up all the soup.
Now the second bowl's kinda disappointing. Basically, it's noodles with pork cubes, u know, the ones that come in that can with chilli oil? Yeah it's EXACTLY the same, no difference, but hey, there's still meat, so I enjoye it, plus it beats having to open one full can of pork cubes and only eating 5-6 pieces and throwing the rest away. =)

Today was pretty ok, before going to get myself the new camcorder I figured I'd stop by Fortune Centre to look for this vegetarian eatery which I really wanted to try.

I went to this place about 2-3 years back, for what reason I can't remember, but I was with my dad at that point of time and I landed up in this vegetarian eatery where they served really decent food.

It took awhile but after some walking around the area near bugis and bumping into some buskers...
I finally found the place!!
Now I really enjoy the food here, even for a guy who isn't a vegetarian, I eat by choice, not by religion, I'm Christian, so I'm not really restricted to any form of food...but like any food person, food is still food, and I love this place. =D
The dishes include your usual economical rice style dishes, soups as well as western(yes, Fish n Chips, Chix Chop, even tuna croissant!!) and even ramen, which is made using noodles which is handmade at the eatery itself.
Don't be alarmed by the shockingly little amount of rice, I asked for less, cause knowing me, I can never take down too much crabs....er...carbs....now crabs, that I can munch down a load of them...YUM.

So the meal cost me $7...yeah, kinda more toward the pricey side? Well that's cause I orderd a bowl of soup as well...their soups are pretty plain, which is why I was hoping to get corn soup that day which they didn't have, cause my last impression of that place was how much I really enjoyed their corn soup....oriental style ofcourse, not the american creamy stuff. =)

So any of you who frequent the place alot(whether it's to accompany your parents to the temple or to shops around bugis area) and suddenly crave something less meaty, hey go check it out, it's near the chinese and hindi temple near bencoolen street.

Sigh it's late, and I gtg!!!

You guys have an awesome(possum) week ahead...cheerios ppl!!!

Andrew

PS: Here's some photos from last week Yoyo Photo Shoot!!! Pictures courtesy of Colin's girlfriend Jo!!!
Me messing up for the umpteenth time...so off form during filming that day.
I take over the filming(cause I can't double loop for nuts!!!)
Everyone's supposedly looking at the yoyo...everyone...except Colin(Botak man)...
More discussions after that, figuring out what else to add to the video...I love a good brain storming session!!!....ok no I don't...but hey what the heck.
