Another week gone by....wasted? Not wasted? Let's see now...
Monday I managed to get out of camp for some KFC with my bunk mates, I was dead hungry, especially since I haven't really eaten that day.
1. Breakfast - Macdonald's
2. Lunch, Dinner - Kentucky Fried Chicken
Now if you go online to yahoo.com and search for pictures under "KFC", you'd probably bump into a bunch of pictures like this one

So most of us living outside the States wouldn't know this, but apparently Peta's been urging lots of ppl to boycott KFC due to their ill practices of mistreating chickens in their factories.
Go to Youtube and type "KFC Abuse" and you might find some videos about it.
Personally, I find it disgusting that some of the factory workers treat the birds like that, but at the same time, I can't blame KFC for being responsible.
Put it simply, how many times have things slipped past your nose without knowing it? Or how many times have YOU slipped passed others???
Is it fair that ppl blame you for not being responsible??? The owners of that particular factory took action and got the workers who abused the chickens fired...which, to Peta, probably means nothing as to them it's just a way of looking good to the media.
Let's face it, there will be ppl who do things which others will forever disagree, and you can't stop them.
If we actually dig closer into such groups like Peta, I'm 100% sure there's gonna be dirt as well. And when that day comes, we'll see the same immediate actions taken by Peta to try and solve the problem to make themselves look good.
I'm not saying Peta is bad, do I support them? I'll respect them for their intentions on wanting to save the animals and such, but just as such, I would like them to respect ours. Putting blame on a major corp like KFC is unfair in my opinion...some of you may agree, other may not, but like I mentioned before, we all have our own view on things. =)
*I HOPE I DON'T GET FLAMED!*
uh..yeah, wow I totally strayed off topic.
Anyway I finally opened another bowl of Goota Noodles, probably the last flavor I have at the moment.
I liked this particular bowl of noodles, unlike the others, which had silken slices of meat inside, this had hand-made meat balls instead...plus it didn't have the usual taste of "lard" in it's soup base, unlike most of the other bowls I've tried.
I won't go into detail, cause it'll probably bore the living daylights outta you. =)
Wednesday, I had my IPPT for this work year.
Don't ask what it means, I myself didn't bother to read up.
Anyway it's the standard group of exercise we had to do to determine how fit we were.
1 point = fail
2-5 points = pass
3 points consistent = silver medal
There are 5 Stations, my score was...
1. Situps = 40 in 1 min...5 points
2. Pull ups = 12...5 points
3. Shuttle Run = 9.75... 5 points
4. Standing Broad Jump = 216cm... 2 points
5. 2.4 KM Run = 11mins 11 sec...3 points
Total = 20 out of 25.
I didn't get silver, which would have gotten me $100, but honestly, I can't jump for nuts!!! So yeah, a bit disappointed, but still quite pleased...1 year of no real training and my score wasn't very far off the one I took last year in April =)
Friday was another day I didn't exactly look forward to.
We had a run again, 14km this time!
With my legs still sore from IPPT, my timing this time round got me 1 hr 25 mins, that's 21 mins more for the additional 2 km...bleah!! Still happy I completed it though...I'm REALLY not looking forward to another run...my legs were so busted, I had a hard time walking around at Vivocity on Saturday when I went early around 1pm to meet up with the guys from Duncan to do some filming.
I even had a harder time walking while I was at one-fullerton...urgh!
RIGHT NOW, as I type, my two legs and shoved down my Osim iSqueeze...probably the BEST investment I ever got for me legs.....aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwooooooouuuuuuuhhhhhh.......
Oh yeah, so saturday, I got to hang out with DCS in the afternoon for some filming, didn't take pictures though, sorry...yeah I totally forgot to take pictures of the guys in action and yet I took pictures of lunch at Food Republic at the top flood.
I had glass noodles instead, which were VERY bland...I didn't really enjoy it, I DID enjoy their Hakka beancurd and ommelette though...but for a total of 7 bucks, I doubt you'd see me going back again.
Today I walked around Bugis cause I had to make a pass by Simlim Square to pick up computer price sheets for a friend...
I decided to check out this Vegetarian Restaurant called Xing Hua vegetarian Restaurant, which was featured in Leslie Tay's Blog.
The whole meal cost around $6.20 with the drink and extra plate of goodies...the noodles alone? $3...although yeah I'd recommend you have it with additional items cause it can be a little bland.
There's this other place around the area which I went to about 2 years back, it's nearer to the chinese temple along that street but I'm too lazy to walk there...haha. Maybe some other time...but I swear I had one of the best vegetarian corn soups ever around that area...I just need to find it again...bah!!!
Oh and guess what??? My bottles of Champagne arrived...3 of them!!!
K well this has been a.....really boring blog post..
YEP...I enjoyed my week, but it was pretty normal and not very happening.
Lynnette's back!!! Glad to know she left before the NYC gas pipe explosion, that would've been terrible!!
Yeah I miss going to the States too, I should go again...eventually.
Aight, u guys enjoy your week, cheers ppl!
Andrew
