Looks like this week has been pretty up and happening for me.
Which is a good thing!!
DUH. =)
Anyway let's start out with dinner at Raj's on Wednesday night with the guys from camp.
Remember the restaurant? YEP, it's the same one which sells vegetarian food, and Wednesday was my 3rd time at the restaurant.
Yeah I went there a 2nd time, with my dad, but we didn't know what to order we ended up ordering stuff that pretty much tasted the same...lol.
This time round though, instead of 4, we had a total of 8 ppl down for dinner.
=D
Haha, I think we were the biggest group that night! It's a small restaurant...but nonetheless, it serves really good vegetarian Indian food.
Either that or Vineet was just fooling around and the waiters at the restaurant were having a blast watching us make a fool out of ourselves.
NAH.
lol.
The food was great, the cultural experience was fantastic, and you can tell it was awesome just by looking at the happy faces of Timo and Vin. ;)
Anyway the week went by pretty fast.
Friday was terrible though, we had a run at East Coast Park in the afternoon to promote healthy lifestyle.
And after not running for a week, we were faced with a 12km route...ack!
Normally when we DO run in camp, we'd do 3km the most??? So you can see the jump is REALLY big, plus for a transport unit, we don't run or train as much as combat units though so OUCH!
But a personal time of 1 hr 04 mins definitely put a smile on my face...all that slacking and still a pretty decent result. =D
I did eat a lot after that though, had a meeting with the SGDrifters and then had supper nearby with Zhirong and Zhihao(yeah, brothers)
Pretty slow at first, but at least I had a damn long sleep cause I was extremely tired, and my legs were aching from all that running.
I went down to Black Angus to attend a wine training session they held. Might as well update myself a lil on something I know so little about eh?
And so were the wine!!!
Well....not really la, I'm just not the type to drink alcohol so I can't appreciate it.
I do appreciate, however, the Bottega NV Petalo Moscato Spumante Sparkling Wine though.
It's called sparkling wine cause only sparkling wines made in the champagne region can be called champagne. =)
This bottle of sparkling wine is definitely a sure winner even for those whom like me, don't really drink. That's cause it's sweet, almost like a dessert wine, very soda-like properties.
I'm probably gonna save up and get me a bottle or two for keeps....FANTASTIC I TELL YOU.
If "Bottega" sounds familiar to you, that's because this wine was manufactured under "Bottega Veneta", the fashion label.
Now I didn't get this information myself, I'm like a plumber in an Emergency Operating Room when it comes to things like this.
Got a party coming up? Go try and get a bottle of this, especially if your group has ladies, they're sure to enjoy this bottle of sparkling wine....don't take my word for it, that's EXACTLY what the promoter said when she was introducing the bottle to us...lol...but I guess I'll agree on this, definitely something girls will probably love.
FIREWORKS!!!
As usual, at night came the ever popular display of fireworks during the NDP Rehersal, from Black Angus, you could see how attractive the display was, I wasn't particularly interested though, but what the heck.
sit by the window, lol.
Anyways, time's almost up and I gtg.
Last thing though, Eileen(remember her?) quite the business lady these days and have opened an online store selling clothes so if any of you girls(no guy stuff, sorry) at interested check out Kinxie-Land(personally, the name...erm...well..lol k guess it probably describes her..plus I won't tease since I don't have a company to call my own) and mail her if you wanna purchase anything. Hey Ying Xiu n Xin Yi, think the two of you'll probably find something both of you might like there...ha go pester Lionel and Kleaven to get you stuff.
Wow look at the time, dinner's calling.
You guys have a great week, and an even greater weekend, cheers peeps!~
