He's been doing a lot of this recently, biting when u start waving your hand frantically in his face.
I did note he picks certain people to play with only though, so he most likely won't do it to strangers.
Also, you can tell he's playing cause he doesn't puncture and his claws are not out, but yes they still can hurt if you're not use to it.
