Caught a stand up comedy act last night with Colin and Calvin. Harith Iskander is a new name to me but to the Malaysian folk, he's considered the Godfather of Malaysian Comedy.
The thing that actually caught my attention at first was that the host was Rishi Budhrani, we caught his performance in Happily Ever Laughter awhile back and enjoyed his skit, and since he was opening this act, we wanted to see what the hype was about.
Along with Rishi and another comedian Jinx, all three comedians had rather different styles of comedy. Jinx was ok, though perhaps Rishi was more lively and controversial, while Harith was more animated and amusing to watch.
Overall the show was rather entertaining though a little draggy midway, but nonetheless it was an awesome performance, and I'm glad we managed to take time off to catch it.
