Casa Latina

Recommended this place to Serenity and her husband awhile back since they were looking for good Mexican food.

When they came back informing me that the stuff served was so far one of the best they've tried (not entirely authentic, but for Singapore standard, they're impressed), Xinn and I decided to go give this place a check to see how it's like.

It replaced potpourri, this Indian restaurant which belonged to a friend of Xinn and Chang. Interior looks pretty similar, table layout's the same, I guess they didn't want to invest too much into new furniture.
Food wise though, The nachos was FANTASTIC...I personally though the guacamole could be thicker and richer cause the amount of fresh tomatoes made the dip a bit too light for me. Still the stuff they whack onto the nachos reminded me of the ones we had when we went to celebrate Geoff's 50th birthday when Alexander invited us down the other time.
The soup was really good too! Xinn had to admit that the garlic and onions made the taste a lot richer, much to her liking. lol
The maincourses were pretty good, I've heard of enchiladas a couple of times but never really got to try them. There were two sauces, a tomatoe based and another green one which is apparently more "authentic", so I went for it. Xinn had a Filet De Pescado, which didn't look much like the ones you google, but for the first time I actually enjoyed Dory Fish! This wasn't the frozen packet sort, but fresh, with it's skin on, and grilled till the bottom is crispy and the top is meaty, not like the soggy loose fish meat you'd get from frozen dory.

We thoroughly enjoyed dinner last night, the bill went up to about $40 per person but at least it was quite an interesting experience.

Will most likely drop by there again some other time to try out their other goodies. =D

Food mah. I still wanted range over food though...the 18-135 will come in more handy during HK trip.

But the Prime definitely is a lot more sharper. lol
