Actually it's not so much about barefoot or not. More like heel strike vs forefoot strike running. The current hype is focusing on injury prevention like what your article is about then that leads to shoe makers like newton, vibram etc. Newton picked up much earlier here and I don't think vibram is anywhere close it yet. I prefer to go with the underdogs.
I think I'm lazy to try a new technique of running to retrain my 2.4, but yeah if I intend to run on a regular basis like I am now, maybe I should look more into this.
As for now I'll try out these new pair of NB from Uncle Lee and Friends of the SAF, so far it's really good, happy with it, plus its payable by credits...lol!

Yours was quite vibran-biased base leh, even though the professor's study is separate, he endorses the product.
This one doesn't talk about Vibrams at all, so I thought it might be more legitimate. lol
