About a few years back though, the hotel went through a revamp, and started to change its image, renovating its restaurant cafe and re-branding itself as a 4 star hotel.
Soon after, the porridge buffet seemed to die down, a lot of items began to be replaced by more international favorites which were.......well........crap.
Thursday, as part of my class module project, Tun, Wanlin, Tatz and I headed for dinner at the place to see how much has changed since.
Notice how the poster outside the hotel proudly announces its return? Disappointment I tell u...Since Wanlin had a 50% discount from the manager as she used to work there, we figured we'd give it a try anyway.
I first had soup...
My first dish:
My second...
third...
You see where this is going?Where's the porridge?!?!?!
I did manage to find it, tucked away at the corner of the buffet line, 6 claypots, out of which 1 had cabbages, the other had salted eggs, one had ikan billis, and the remaining 3 were basically the same braised dark sauce, containing pork in one, tau kua in the other, and hard boiled eggs in the third.
Where's the rest of the stuff?!?!?!?!It's sad how they boldly advertise their porridge buffet at the front, and tuck it away at one corner in the cafe!!!
It's like paying $100 to a NERD concert to see them perform one track, then have the entire evening left for performances by Britney Spears.
Sadded.
Now all there's left to look forward to is Quality Hotel and Suntec City...
Wah you two please don't fail me!!!!!!!! =(
