It's been awhile since I had some relax-time and to be honest, helping out at a yo-yo contest, though tiring with all the planning and what not, was pretty fun especially since it was something to do away from work. =)
Roy, Lihao and I had to play judge for the day, so we spent most of our time seated with clickers going through countless freestyles and scoring them accordingly. From the high performance veterans
To the new and up coming teens...
to the...
so anyway. At least Mr Sim's freestyle was pretty impressive for a guy who doesn't listen to instructions and constantly talks (more like cut into conversation....like, not even wait for u to pause, just cut right in the middle of you and a couple of syllibals) to your customers at the shop WHILE you're talking to them at the same time.
Can't say the same for Russell though, who constantly mocks people, laugh, crack annoying jokes, scolds with a foul mouth and smokes...16 yr old kid totally messed up on stage it was really bad, guess Karma does exist.*looks behind back just in case*
Anyway Cheng was an awesome emcee (as usual) who delivered a really good stage presence that day, coupled with the really incredible freestyles some of the kids were pulling out, like Darrell and Wei Xuan who have only been playing for 3 years, I thought the whole event was down right incredible. =)
We later ended off by having dinner with Colin, Mel, Sandra, Al, Sharon, Xinn and I at the c9 Hong Kong cafe at East Coast Park. No pictures though, I think I've been cutting down on food photos recently...something must be wrong with me.Guess the next few days at home will be me and my cup of orange water.
Anyway if you're interested, Darrell and Wei Xuan's freestyles are below, click to watch =)
K it's late, night ppl =)
