Like I said, I will blog about bowling.
Which I did on the 17th of April last week with the Student Managers during our outing which was a major blast. =)

I figured since I had a camera, and Jung Doe had a DSLR, I wanted to give my powershot a go to see how it faired up against the higher-range snapper.

I didn't end up doing much comparison shots though, I found myself busy snapping away pictures of the get together.

It's no professional camera, but I thought it faired pretty well at the bowling alley which was pretty dark, even JD's shots were darker than mine though more well defined.

One thing I like about the camera though, is the slight barrel distortion, i know photographers some times don't like the "fish eye" effect, but I thought it was pretty cool, like the picture above of the 3 rebel 5 girls...the picture has sort of a..........er...eh...wah kns how to you say it...rounded effect? barreling la i think.

Two particular photos I really liked though, where that of JD, which I thought were pretty funny especially since they were number one after the other in my SD card.

So basically it looked almost as though JD had stood there and posed with the bowling ball while Yvonne casually made her way over to take the snap. Ha! =)

Here's one taken with a DSLR from JD's cam...this is kinda what I'm trying to emphasize about...depth of field...check out how Chin Ya's back is blurred out, which I can achieve by zooming in really close, but can't do with the kinda range JD's DSLR has...and the color, thought darker, is so much more intense and rich....such is the case of a camera that's 3-4 times more that of mine. pffft.

Overall I thought it was a blast, quite a good get away from all the stresses in school. Can't wait for the next one!
