Sorry I've gone really under the radar recently. If you've gotten me on facebook you'd know that I've been in KL for the past few days!
Not that we didn't wanna announce it to people, we just didn't want too many ppl knowing about our trip until we were gone. =)
We ended up staying at some Back Packers inn which was really cool, and out late night bus at 12:30am meant that we reached KL at 5 in the morning.
Now I haven't come to the main point or agenda of this trip yet.The reason revolving around the decision to go to KL is because of this.
Yep.RM5 for a bowl of Beef Ball noodles that taste so bad ass the guys practically spent the entire vacation chowing down this noodles day in day out, as close to 5 bowls a day, and that excludes the other meals we had during that one day alone!!!

I wasn't one to find myself chowing down this 24/7 like the rest of the guys, Melvin coined the term "The Connoisseur vs The Carnivore" describing the difference between me and the other guys. I think there's some truth to it, I'm no connoisseur, but I'm one to like to sample all sorts of foods, not the same food again and again. Technically all 6 of us who went are foodie people, just with different agendas towards the food we eat. But I'm not saying the noodles were bad, no man, they were so damn good! =) Just not to the extend where I would eat it over and over again.Of course, with that said, we DID go around eating other good stuff too...there were...
Cinnamon Buns...
DRAFT Root Beer Float...
Ramly Burgers...
Wagon Steamboat...
KL style Bakut Teh...oh and lets not forget our heavenly surprise when we chanced upon the holy grail, KL style CHAR SIEW!!!
I seldom had a dish I would consider LIFE CHANGING.But this one...THIS ONE hits the spot!!!! If you were in Hong Kong and had Char Siew there, it's great, no it's awesome, it's incredible, but that's cause it's HK Char Siew....this one from KL is also really good, and u need to pay so much to fly over to HK to have something this delicious!!! The fats are soft and jello like, the meat is soft and tender, and the outside is.......OH-SO-CRISPY!!!
It didn't even bother us when we found out that the char siew ard this area was cooked in a huge oil drum that had been hollowed out and cut at the top and bottom to hang and roast these delicious loins. =) *SLURP!*Of course food wasn't our only agenda...
The guys also went for a massage across the street, it has been 4 years since I last had a proper massage and this was really good. Melvin being a first timer, was feeling the full force of the massager's hands, but Colin seemed to really enjoyed it, and Hans spent his time smiling when the massage tickled, and also had a broken chinese conversation with the China workers at the shop.
We also managed to find time to hook up with Dimi and Brad, who had made a trip down to KL for a few days. It was great catching up with the both of them, especially Brad whom I havent seen in at least 3 years, it's good to meet an old friend and have a good conversation with, glad to have bumped into him again after all these years =)
Of course, time was also well spent hanging out with my dear who came along for the trip.I was really glad she clicked well with the group and could mingle and joke with them. At least that made me feel happy that she had more than just me to converse with during the trip =)
There's actually alot more to write about, but basically I'm trying to summarize it up, I still got other stuff to blog about and I haven't gotten the time to do so.I'll catch up on those later, once again sorry for the late entries!
