Just last year did we have a gathering and this year were doing it again. It's been only a year but so many things have passed since then.

I couldnt make it early cause of my final paper but I got down in time to see most of the guys make their way down for the event as well.
Melvin and some of the guys took an empty ice cooler and brought it to Carls Junior, paid for an empty cup and started filling the entire box with Coke. The guys have balls man. =)
Once the fire got started, hell started to break loose.Mostly in the form of ppl swarming constantly to the BBQ grill to pick food from the pit when instructions were clear to wait at the table for the cooked stuff to make its way there first. Those who did listen spent a lot of their time waiting and waiting, and didn't get much to eat cause sadly, those who weren't being considerate kept attaching the grill, leaving almost little left for those waiting at the serving table for food to come.

I think the person who ticked me off the most weren't the kids, but actually M's mum. OMG. She kept commenting on the fire, keep giving eye power, constantly poked the food, gave comments, ate stuff from the grill, and even invited the kids to come take from the cooking area even after I yelled out, yep, yelled, out specific instructions not to do that. Wah she was more pain than helpful during the entire cookout and kinda made me wanna blow my top.I remember a week or two back when I asked her to prep bee hoon she said she wasn't good at cooking, and then on that day all she did was give her infinite knowlegable feedback about the grill, did nothing to really help and just ate stuff...it seriously was damn irritating.
Another person who kinda pissed me off was Andrew, no not me, you know who u are. When I say "Don't touch the fucking grill and let us cook in peace", it's not a joke, not a fucking joke at all. Please do not laugh and then continue to try and grab from the grill, you have two ears, use them to listen and pay attention, and maybe then I'd consider giving you some respect.
Now on the other hand, Darrell's mum is AWESOME!!! The lovely lady made Muffins, Chicken Wings and Prawns, and still chipped in to pay for the BBQ, so was Gema's mum, who whipped up an awesome batch of fried bee hoon which was wiped out within the first few minutes of the bbq. Thanks guys =)
AL and Sharon came late, so there was lil food left to go ard except for chicken wings and otak. AL helped out with the grill for a bit, and so did Nurali, Alex and Syafiq, thanks guys.I managed to talk to Sharon about the Fullerton Hotel, hopefully some time in the near future we'll be able to hold a Hotel Tour there for my school's Hotel Assocation. But we'll leave that till the date comes closer =)
The session ended with Adrian and Colin giving us a short speech about the club and how things have been going on so far. I think it was good the kids paid attention, at least it showed they cared for the community as well, made me feel like there was hope for a future batch of kids to rise to the occasion and take over in future.
The after-party wasn't much. I had a bottle of Skyy Vodka which Shahmil had given awhile back, and since I don't really drink, I figured bringing it down would mean it'll clear up. So once most of the kids were gone, the adults started drinking and chatting...there wasn't much alcohol to go ard, but it was just a chill out mellow session so it didnt really matter. I think Xinn and Sandra finished most of it, and commented the drink to be quite the "silent killer". =)It's almost 6, Xinn's about the arrive, I gotta start packing up the shop.
Ciao people =)
Andrew
