Turkish Day Out

So I realised I've been extremely busted for the past few days. Trying to do a lot of stuff and cram it all into my schedule.

Wednesday I went to bed at 12 plus midnight, and about an hour later, I woke up to realise the air-conditioning was out, and so were the lights.

The fridge was out and I spent nearly an hour setting up the electrical appliances and finding a workable socket to plug the fridge. The best part was my Dad was due for a flight at the airport in a few hours.

Which meant I had to wake up again at 5 to fetch him there, and leave the responsibilities of calling the electrician and air-con repairman to me when I didn't hold any of the contacts and my mum wasn't one to know anything about this sorta thing either.

So the entire day on Wednesday I had to look out for 3 calls, one from the electrician, another from the air-con people, and the last from the Spinworkx shop should there be any need for assistance.

I did, at least, manage to enjoy the rest of the day though.

Lunch was a meal session with the Culture and Cuisine module students at a Turkish Restaurant around Robertson Walk.
The girls Jenny, Kim, QQ and Jess were responsible for organizing this event which was really good!
The only other Turkish place I've been to is Sofra, and have yet to try the one at Far East Plaza which I hear is cheaper and damn good as well.
Cecilia and Sheryll were probably the two most animated people that day, playing with food, yakking nonsense and acting all dandy and what not. Lol I think they made the whole dining experience damn amusing.
Overall I thought the meal was great, and the event was well done indeed, hopefully the next one held by my group will be able to rival this one =)

But ofcourse, the highlight of my day came in the form of little white pearly bits of rice boiled in water till soft and mushy served with many different dishes and condiments!

I went back again to the Taiwan porridge buffet at Quality Hotel, and this time with Xinn, KZ and Chang.

Wah, I really think I ruined my diet plan this week.

Sigh..

Time to buck up!

Andrew
