Derren Brown

I never actually heard of this name before until recently when my brother showed me a video of him performing on the streets in the States.

Apparently, Derren Brown is known as a mentalist, or someone who knows how to play with the mind, and does it very well through hypnotic conversation, which is very subtle compared to regular hypnosis.

Through various words and actions, he could make you loose your train of thought, make you pass him your money, and even accept pieces of blank paper thinking its real money!!!

Of course, there's even a video on how you could use it to pick up women at a club, although if you ask me, I think our locals will probably have no idea wtf you're doing and think u're nonsense and crazy. lol



Another thing he uses as well is subliminal suggestion where he got 2 media advertising artist to come up to his office and design an advertisement on a product, which was actually suggested to them along the way without them knowing it =)

The thing with such techniques is that they don't always work on everyone, as mentioned in Penn and Teller's BULLSHIT on how mind reading works, when its off the air and performed in real life, it's pretty unimpressive and more than half the time the tactic fails and is edited off the air.
