Blood & Alcohol...

...were the first two things I came in contact with on Tuesday.

doesn't sound like a good mix does it?

Anyway it was 29th April, and some of the school mates had gotten together to organize a blood donation drive at our sch, which was also open to the public!
Now for those who get groggy around such images, I apologize....=)

anyway funny experience though.

I had been attended by a training nurse, who lacked a lot of experience.

Initially the whole blood donation went ok, but as it got nearer to the end, I got a lil woozy, but still had enuff humor in me to crack jokes and be all nonsense about it.

So i told the nurse that I was feeling a lil giddy, and she went "oh, ok" but continued to slowly...extremely casually untie and remove the tape from my arm.

And by slowly...i seriously, and no im not kidding, seriously...it takes her like...at least 5 seconds to remove one scotch tape. Thing is...while she was undoing stuff, blood was still draining from my body, and I told her for a second time, this time, rather drowsy, that I really wasn't feeling well.

She just took it that I was making conversation, smiled, removed the needle, and walked away, leaving me sitting upright with my blood flowing away from my head, making me even more woosy.

I then tried to tilt my head down to relief it but it wasnt working. It took about 5 mins after for the head nurse to realise the mistake the trainee nurse had made, and quickly came to rectify the problem.

K well at least things didn't go as bad as I thought, but the last time I did a blood donation, I remember the procedure being a lot smoother, especially with a trained nurse who took the needle out really fast and stuff I didn't even feel like dying after my donation.

After that, I headed down to dblO to check out the Bacardi Martini Flair Heats which I havn't gone to for almost 5 years
Thing I like most about such competitions is the creativity of the cocktails, the flair routines and even the atmosphere.

This year was a lil boring though, the past winner couldn't join, and if he could, he'd kick ass. =)
I wished I could have taken more photos though, I spend a lot of time filming, and in my haste managed to put together a short video, hope u guys enjoy it =)

WEDNESDAY

I went clubbing with the guys from Rebel1, honestly it felt weird, maybe cause I'm not used to clubbing with them, I normally chill with the ppl from Rebel3.

I did managed dinner with Jamie and Jaewon earlier that evening at Sushi Tei, Curry rice there was pretty good, maybe I'll go again some day.

THURSDAY

While most ppl were out having fun on may day, I found myself back in sch finishing up some last minute project...and so were the koreans from my class, who acted out a skit that day in school...haha
I stayed till around 10ish in school though, it was so damn stuffy cause they had turned off the air conditioning during the public holidays, and I was starting to sweat...ARGH.

FRIDAY
I went out with Colin and Hans to Astons for the first time.

I've heard so much about the place but never got the chance to go there. =)
We had two burgers, fries, chicken wings, and my rib eye steak, and it only added up to around $50 per person! how awesome is that??? I have to admit, when my steak came, there was a small bug in my salad, but that was quickly rectified....and I didn't really care as long as it wasn't a cockroach.

I think it was an awesome experience and I'd be damn happy to go there again for a second try and their other items =)

SATURDAY

I'd went down to the spinworkx shop and we had to get our pictures taken for the upcoming Singapore Yo Yo Competition as part of a profile flyer for each player that will be put on aboard during the contest.
We got a few of the first samples and I think they turned out pretty good =)
Even Colin seemed to agree, the picture is BADASS =)

I later went for dinner/supper with Melvin and his Gf at geylang 126 dimsum, it's been a while since I went there and I was damn glad I made the trip down today =)
I think the thing that cheered me the most was that Leslie Tay had finally posted about it on his Blog!

Anyway Saturday was an awesome day, tomorrow's Sunday, another day spent in sch mugging for the final paper...URGH

K well I gtg...oh btw, I help edit a video Colin had with him for Duncan, hope you guys enjoy it.

K, cheers ppl, night!

Andrew
